Each industry-sponsored project is led by a University Principal Investigator (PI) who guides the research, shapes the resulting technology, and is responsible for the scientific coordination with the sponsoring company. Confidentiality and intellectual property management are integral to any research interaction enabling our corporate research partners to commercialize the resulting technology. The Office of Foundation and Corporate Engagement can connect you with existing research programs, or speak with you to determine how we can best suit your specific research needs.
As part of our campus’ commitment to building effective and efficient external partnerships, research agreements with industry are triaged to provide the fastest route to project initiation. Our expert Negotiation Team within the Sponsored Programs Office has successfully completed agreements, and master agreements, with numerous corporate partners.
